In December 2011, Irene (mom from Adi) asked me (Timmy) if I would join to do something special. Curious as I was, I followed her to her room where she showed me a couple of nicely shaped rocks and gave me some paint and a brush. Before I realized it myself I was involved of making Adi-Stones. The plan was simple. Search some nice stones, color them on your way and leave them on a place you know Adi once was or a place you would like to take her. Surprised by this lovely idea I started to get the best artist out of me and created some rocks.
I once tried to search back a stone Irene left a couple of hours before near the first cottage on the whale trail in a dried out little stream. I couldn’t find the colored stone any more. Finding this kind a strange I reported my experience to Irene. Surprisingly she says that it’s perfectly ok. It means Adi already found the stone and picked it up.
Adi was some kind of weird gatherer (she even shipped some empty Belgium beer bottles to South-Africa). I wonder how big her collection of stones already is?
If you ever feel like, Adi would love to find yet another beautiful stone…
Hi,
What do you paint the stones with? I am heading to Nambia soon and i think some Adi stones will definitely be at home there!
