Adi always was a in for some new kind of hike. When she heard about the whale trail in Nature reserve ‘De Hoop’ she immediately started to figure out the details. Seemed that this 5day hike is quite popular and has to be booked one year in front and only for groups with 6 or 12 people. Without having such a group, she still decided to make a reservation and started to ask people to join and keep the date free: from Friday 16th to Wednesday 21 December 2011, on that moment more than a year ahead.
Despite the tragical los of Adi, her sister Dunya kept the reservation alive and still found 12 people to join up and depart for the whale trail. Starting with the George girls (Adi, Dunya, Kathy, Hayley, Angi, Irene) we attached all partners (Timmy, Larry, Darol, Chris, Carroll) and filled up the numbers with good company (Vince, Marion).
With a nice balance between the beautiful landscapes, nice located and well accommodated cottages, enough free time and a group in harmony it was a really beautiful little adventure. Mostly advisable for everybody who loves being in the wide open nature.
Thanks Adi, for booking us this trip!
